Dr. Alexander

Dr. Alexander, ABVP

As a young girl, Dr. Jessica Alexander loved animals and wanted to help them. This inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, eventually earning her degree from the University of Edinburgh. Dr. Alexander comes to Anza with over 20 years of experience working in the veterinary medicine field and volunteering in animal rescue. She completed a three year residency with an ER/Specialty Practice and is certified in canine and feline medicine with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She is excited to leverage her knowledge, love of animals, and expertise to support the animals of the greater Anza community.

Dr. Alexander is passionate about helping animals in both preventative care and treating any ailments. She loves to see happy healthy pets and their happy owners. She also loves the various aspects that veterinary medicine covers – including preventative care, sick cases, and consultations. Her special interests include abdominal ultrasonography, dermatology, pain management, and internal medicine.

When Dr. Alexander isn’t working with animals, you will find her spending time with her own; Annie, a chihuahua mix, and Tawd and Glenda, her two domestic short hair cats that are spoiled rotten! Dr. Alexander also enjoys volunteering, reading, exploring, traveling and anything nature related – like hiking! She volunteers with Best Friends Animal Society, Tree People, Heal the Bay, the Los Angeles Zoo, and Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy.
