Karley

Karley was born in Woodland Hills, but was raised and went to school for all her life in Moorpark California. From a very young age she always said she wanted to become a vet when she grew up. After finishing high school and attending junior college in pursuit of a psychology degree she never thought she would actually come even close to the vet field despite her childhood dream. Little did she know that while attending The University of Channel Islands she would take a psychology elective class in animal behavior and would be absolutely fascinated with everything the class had to offer and reigniting her interest yet again in a career with animals. Despite graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology she began looking for jobs in the veterinary medicine field to start gaining some hand’s on experience. Her first job in the field ended up being a veterinary receptionist position at a general practice in Simi Valley where she was cross trained both as a receptionist and a veterinary assistant. From there she attended Platt College’s online veterinary technician program and graduated in February of 2024 with her official certificate in veterinary technology. Since then she has been studying to take the VTNE to become a registered veterinary technician. Now her path has lead her to be a team member at Anza where she hopes to be a helpful asset to the team in promoting patient health, client education and satisfaction. When not at work you can find her reading books, playing video games, diamond painting, or hanging out with her two golden retrievers or any of her six cats (pictured: Dewbie)
